I heard about Alice from a friend of mine and decided to give it a look.

I believe for me it started with minute oscillations and pressure variations. These caused small bones in my ear to move and excited hairs attached to nerve endings within the auditory system. The excitement of said nerves resulted in electrical signals being transferred to my brain which were automagically interpretation as sounds and ultimately as words.
