Wow! Thanks for the links. I'm not familiar with Blender, but I will check it out. It certainly looks cool. I might be able to get someone to whip up an exporter if people are interested.

These programs all run under Windows, so they can't be used on a Mac. Check them out. I like "Chateau" the best. There are about six programs to download. they don't model directly in Alice, but they export in a format Alice can understand. They're pretty simple to use.

What formats can you save/export the 3D objects in? Getting to the .ase format Alice needs - with a good mapped texture - is freqently the hardest step.

I had downloaded Chateau from the website, however, I am unable to run it on my computer. Is it a problem due to the OS? I am currently using Vista. Hope someone can enlighten. Thanks
Those are all very old programs and, since they were experiments, have not been maintained (as explained on the website). The last time I tried, the only one I could get to run with my current Java/XP configuration was Smooth Teddy. I would not be surprised if even that didn't run with Vista.
