Question How do I take a screen shot on Windows? - 12-02-2010, 07:21 PM

For my final project, I am required to make my own alice tutorial.
I know how to do this on a mac, but not on a Windows PC.

I'm trying to take screen shots of only specific parts of the screen such as the add objects button and the object tree.

My final is due tomorrow. Please help, thanks.

To capture the whole screen, press "PrtSc" on the keyboard, (It's to the top-right, four key from the right), then just "Paste" in any image editor/creator (like MS Paint), you can print from there.

Good luck with your project!

Woops! Forgot to tell you that you can then just crop out the parts you want/don't want in MS paint after you've pasted.

Sadly, I do not have that kind of time on my hands, as I am a procrastinator.
Though, I have found a different method, which works just as well. But thank you anyways.

It actually only takes you about a minute or less to do. And I am pretty sure you need to hold down fn when you press PrtScr.

fn? Dont you only get that button on laptops, you dont need that on a full qwerty keyboard, also hold ALT and Prt Scr to capture just the currently focused window
