Default Idiot question: mouse events for multiple objects - 11-03-2011, 08:24 PM

Hello more knowledgeable than me members:

Please no "making fun" or sarcastic comments (well... if you must).

I am creating a program where I have a sleeping character. There are three other characters who try to wake him up. One uses an event where you click on an alarm clock, it goes off, then "PJ" goes back asleep.
Next, you are supposed to click on the tortoise and he plays the trumpet, then hits PJ over the head to wake him up.
The problem is - when you click on the tortoise, nothing happens.

I'm guessing there is a simple solution, but I'm working full-time and taking a full-load, so I need a quick solution.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a multitude of projects to complete, and I'm not having luck finding a solution. Also, my textbook is wholly inadequate in finding any kind of solution. I guess I could use different types of events besides clicking on the object to activate the appropriate method, but... not sure.

This project is actually late, so hopefully someone will have pity on me and help me to understand what I need to do.

Thanks in advance.

I pretty sure you can click two object at the same time and for different methods, you could even make a variable so that you can't do one until the other is done.
