TARDIS De-materialize

I'm trying to do a animation of the TARDIS de-materializing and then materializing in the Time Vortex. I have the models, but how do I program to have the TARDIS model to fade in and fade out?

Change its opacity from 1 to 0 and set the duration to make it take however much time you want disappearing.
In properties drag the opacity into the method and add the delay.
