Question About showing other languages - 09-17-2008, 09:57 AM

How do I show other languages by using 3D TEXT and can open the file after saving? I can't open the file after saving it.

Other languages example :吳樂平 (You can use 新細明體 )

Default 3D Text for Foreign Languages - 09-17-2008, 03:53 PM

I don't have a Chinese font loaded on this machine - but tried it for Cryllic and for a totally graphics font (a neat way to add new characters) and it seemed to work fine (see .zip file). The saved .a2c file seemed to have the entire font set included, also.

Some limitations that might apply in your case. (1) The fonts I used are all "True Type" fonts, which are in vector graphics format. I don't think any others work - certainly not all other formats. (2) You are also probably limited to a total of 128 to 356 (7 to 8 bits worth) of characters. This might be a real problem for Chinese. (3) The 3D characters are extruded from the 2D vector graphic - and with some options can be difficult or impossible to read.

If you have a particular font in mind, I'd be glad to try it if you can't get it to work. (Just don't expect me to judge whether the result is good or bad. )
