Default newbie question - 09-08-2010, 07:37 AM

Hi, I am new to this forum and would like to seek help from you all.
Appreciation to any helps, suggestions, and advices

Here we go with my problem.
I would like to program alice to speak like a normal human
The problem here is that, is there a shortcut for me to program it or I have to program it 1 by 1 with all the possible sentences that may come from the outside world?
what i want alice to do is something like a chatting bot.

Another problem is how to play alice world by using web browser?

Using Web browsers is not possible at the current time sorry....also...Welcome to the Community!!!!

Your other questions Answer:
Alice is made for you to do things one by one unless you copy the print in a group or something in a Do In Order box and then drag it to the clip board on the top right of the screen. Then click the clip board but drag the mouse to the spot where the bot is chatting and it will duplicate what you put in the clip board....hope i helped

But what i wan is that alice can response like or almost like a human.
Something like you ask alice some questions and alice will response.

one more thing i would like to ask about the alice.
other than having input from typing, can i use voice to order alice to do thing?

no.

Well, I suppose that there's some really complicated Jython code that lets you do that, but for just the Alice interface, no.

You can...I made a program called JA command system. You type a command and it does a function. You can just change it to sound. You can work off of mine if you'd like. Its pretty good to start with

Wait...you're saying you can make it so that when you say something to the program it does a method, or that when you type something in the program it plays a sound?

I think he meant the first one.
