Default help with simple game - 04-30-2009, 07:39 PM

im making a simple car game for a school project. the point of the game is to drive down the street and hit ramps. But i cant get he car to jump when the car comes in contact with the ramps. any help on this would be greatly appreciated

This is a problem with collosion detection.

once your vehicle is within an approriate distance from a spot on the ramp you will want the vehicle to no longer move horizontal with the ground.

You need some logical statement that rotates your car the right amount to make it apear to be running on the ramp.

maybe i should have said "conditional" statements i.e. using if - else, or while

I know how to get the if/else stuff, but how do you make it actually work. In my project I put if my vehicle got 0metres above from a cylinder, it would do my first method, but nothing happened

somthing Ive found works is...
While car is withing # meters of ramp, then do Action

same applys for if else just remember to loop the action infinite times
