Alice 2.2 9-10-2010 bug

I assume that this is a bug, and somewhat annoying.
The latest release has an annoying glitch on my Windows 7 machine. After starting, it displays the circling icon for Windows waiting whenever it is hovering over a non active pane. So, if hovering over pretty much anything in the main Alice window I get the circle, if I move the mouse over the world display it reverts to a standard pointer, until I move it away. It also displays the standard pointer when moved over the folder tiles, but not the object tiles. If I move the pointer to the desktop, it reverts to the standard pointer.

Have tried running Alice in XP compatibility mode to no joy.
