I went ahead and made my own quick tutorial that shows exactly what I do when I import models. Read the description for the step-by-step process. There's no audio and the quality could definitely be better, but if you need an alternative method, this is the one.
GoGators you didn't follow the second part of my advice. You need to use front face. It is another plugin. You just need to make all the faces outward, because alice only shows one side of each face.
P.S. It is much simplier to do all the work inside of sketchup.

I got front face and still it is invisible I was able to get a box in that I made but I wasn't able to get a Sword in! oh well I am going to go rip my hair out!!

Ok, I don't know why people cant seem to understand my tutorial. I will admit that my way does have a fail rate a shown in the weird uv problem with the model in my video.
