Unhappy Corrupt final project - Please help... - 01-22-2013, 10:24 AM

Hi,
One of my junior-high school students have sent me his final project which suddenly stopped working.
I'm attaching the a2w file and the error message.
I opened the a2w file using Winzip and extracted it. It appears that the student has named one of the objects in Hebrew, and the folder name for that item became corrupt. Additionally, there was a sound file in that object and its name was in Hebrew as well ...
I tried renaming the folder, the file and the reference to them in the respective elementData.xml but of no avail (there was a different error message).
I saw the student put a lot of work into it. I would very much like to help him out.
BTW, the backup folder was empty
I would very much appreciate your help.
Thanks
Yossi Yaron

I removed your sound file. You can add it back to your file, but you will have to rename it (without using those extended characters) before saving the file.

Smile Thanks! - 01-24-2013, 01:24 PM

Thank you very very very much – on my behalf, and on the behalf of my student.
We very much appreciate your help.

Is there a way that I can do it myself in case such problem repeats
Could you please provide some instructions for handling such situations?
I did instruct my students to stick to English in all the object names and file names in the future, but we had that happen several times in my class before (I only contacted you this time since this is a final project and not just a regular assignment).
Thanks again,
Yossi Yaron
