Aiming with Sniper
 

OK. I have one more question needing to be answered. How can you make it look like your aiming with a Sniper/regular gun? :confused:

What exactly do you want? It depends on what kind of aiming and scoping

like i just want like a COD style of aiming with the L96 in Black Ops

Ok well, You can make just the basic system of gun moving towards the center of the screen when a button is pressed, then when it gets there, it turns showing to false and you have a texture of a scope turn to true(Asuming that you already set it in place). Then when you let go of scop, the scope turns to false and the gun turns to true and it moves back in place.

But don't you have to make all this moving stuff just to get in front of the scope?

EDIT: Nvm i get it. Do you happen to have a scope texture?

Hey do you know how to make it transparent so I can use it?

It is transparent. Just put it in Alice and see..

I go to import and try to import the photo, but when it is done loading, it doesn't show up.

Take a screenshot of it, and upload what you see.

NVM I needed to upload as a Billiboard, not a Import File (A2W, A2C). Thank you so much Jediaction for taking your time to help me :D

It got a little messed up...btw, why is it that everyone thinks that Arty made the Sniper thing first. No one remembers mine. Was it that long ago?

Back when school was still in session, a few other students and I wanted to make an FPS (As did everyone else that experienced alice ever.) We did get "scoping" down—or more accurately, aiming down the sight. We did not have any veritable scopes, so we just used the iron sights. Unfortunately said iron sights did not go exactly where it should in relation to the camera a lot of the time, perhaps due to our Windows Me age computers available in class. I don't know exactly.
It was. It seems that on my uber comp, the iron sights align perfectly every time, or at least what could be said to be perfect considering it was made on those old computers. Shooting and aiming down the sight were only finished for the AK, but there was a working weapon switch. No fancy recoil either.

You probably have something better, but just saying: Bolt's on the wrong side. Putting the bolt and the cartridge release on the left as a right-handed is not a good idea. Seems that sniper has been customized for a left-handed person. Besides the textures being improperly UV'd, chambers aren't usually emptied like that. Usually they turn the bolt 45º to open the chamber (Because else you'd be releasing the cartridge to the magazine), and [I]then[/I] pull it back. It's hard to tell though, since the textures are bad.
Unfortunately I won't be able to ID this one, but it looks like a partially modeled AK with a small magazine (20 rounds) and a 4x scope (I don't know why it would have anything higher), meaning you shouldn't even need to pull the bolt.

So, how many of you of you made this? Did you have any reference? I like the switching weapon system to.

It was three of us. We used no references—except the downloaded CS models—and the strangely plentiful gun knowledge we had.

I didn't even know you made one, I just knew of arty's since he posted the link to his on one of my threads awhile ago
