A riddle I made.

One of my hobbies, beside programming computers and building coil guns is making riddles. Here is one of my favorite riddles; let's see how long it takes for anyone to guess it!

Cool my body is, hot my soul may be
and sacrifice myself so you may have sight.
Now I'm unneeded, but ready to strike like the undead!
Don't underestimate me for I am thousands of years old
look to the cookie to discover me,that is your hint.
Even with that I forgot to tell you wind is my dread.
So hath now guessed what I may be!

Also this is one of my more easy ones so...;)

Kind of oddly worded.

I guess Chocolate.

moric15 05-25-2011 10:51 PM

the sun/moon

sfunk 05-25-2011 11:00 PM

a star I shall guess, since stars can be relatively cool compared to each other, and they give off light, so the sun would be my more direct answer, since that is what technically gives the Earth light, which dissappears at night(atleast for half of the globe), waiting to shine again

legolizard 05-26-2011 05:54 AM

The sun is kind of close, but not really since in space there is no "wind", and a star does not instantly activate.:cool:Look at the line "look to the cookie..." that is a very big hint if you can figure out what the "cookie" is.:D:D:D

moric15 05-26-2011 09:33 AM

fire?

Well there is wind from gravitational pull, and stars do technically activate instantly because of the building of pressure of hydrogen (and other gasseuos materials and dust particles) which causes fusion to occur, but i'm guessing you were trying to avoid the technicalities of it XD

jediaction 05-26-2011 10:45 AM

Its Dough!

Well by wind I meant the actual movement of cooler and warmer air molecules on the planet Earth, and stars I guess are instantly activated, but the are not instantly formed so...eh
but i'm guessing you were trying to avoid the technicalities of it
Precisely.

Also Mr.X2495iiii you are right I did word it odlly, but Why?

You are getting closer moric15, but not quite:p

Finally,Jediaction, not it is not dough since I do not know what kind of dough you eat, but the general dough ,to me at least, does not give you sight.

jediaction 05-26-2011 04:12 PM

So it is dough?
