Same, man; I can't open the SketchUp Installer thanks to Win 7's UAC (Utter Absolutism Conspiracy).
Prevents me from getting a cool screensaver too.

Man.
Now there's another reason why laptops rule. They're yours and your alone. The only restrictions are ones you set yourself. If my lappy couldn't download new programs, I couldn't do my schoolwork, so even if I had digitally overprotective parents, they couldn't put restrictions on it without nullifying its use entirely. Also, why don't you guys just ask your parents to allow this particular download. It's purely educational and completely free. It doesn't even have ads in it. They should be all too happy see their children pursuing creativity. Least that's how I see it. |

So what you're telling me is it isn't your laptop, correct? If it was yours, you'd have all the necessary passwords and privileges necessary to bypass (or better yet, disable) UAC.

I have a standard user account, and don't have the passwords necessary for bypassing all that crap.
No admin privileges.
