You could get the Intel Pentium® 4, 2.8 GHz (BX80532PG2800D) Retail Processor. It seems to be pretty fast. 1G of ram is good, but they have 3 now. You could go for 1.5 or 2

Anyone who has downloaded blender did you have an issue with blender not recognizing python as being there? i need help on this

Also when i looked in the folders for putting the export/import stuff in it there wasn't another folder. I followed this

Blender Foundation>Blender>.blender>scripts folder

But when i got to the .blender folder it wasn't there.

Meant to edit that post earlier, but you are right I had python 2.7.1 instead of 2.6.6. Now it'll let me import into blender, but after i click import it just keeps going, it never stops the import. When i looked at the DOS command window it said the .dae file i was importing had the minor version number newer than what was in blender. Anything i can do about that?

Also I still can't find the .blender folder.

Just do a search for all files with blender in the name. Not hard.

And yes you can use true space...if it exports to .ase format. If not, you'll need a converter like Biturn.
