Answering Questions

We have an educational racing game where you answer questions to increase the speed your boat is going. How do you make it so you can only click a button once to increase/decrease the speed of the button. Also how can we have it so you can't change your answer? Like if you got it wrong and than you change it to right to get the speed boost. Any advice is appreciated

All right, it's been a while.
Whatever method you use to make your boat move forward, change whatever value it is to a number variable. If you hadn't already, it won't increase.
When the mouse is clicked on "button" do "your raise speed method"

Now create a variable (boolean) that is false. Name it something like "Has Been Clicked Before"
Raise Speed Method:
If "***.Has Been Clicked Before" is "true"
Do Nothing
Else
"Your method to make it move faster"
"***.Has Been Clicked Before" set value to "true"

What it does is that the raise speed method disables itself.
At the beginning of the method you use to begin the question, you have to reset the "***.Has Been Clicked Before" variable to false.


For your "No changey" problem, you pretty much do the same thing to your question answering method.
If "***.Has Answered Before" is "true"
Do Nothing
Else
"Your method to select an answer"
"***.Has Been Clicked Before" set value to "true"
Of course, this variable has to be reset as well.
