Default Built in collision methods!!! - 11-01-2009, 04:32 PM

one of the toughest things in alice is having no built in collision methods... there is really no way to have a good collision method.. please make built in collision methods in a future update!

thanks, Trevor

I must say, that is the best idea I have heard all week. I can't even get basic collision detection to work. But, realistically, to create that, you would have to say if any object comes within a particular object do... for each and every possible object. And since there is no any object method, you would probably have to do that for EVERY object for EVERY object. So, although that would be awesome, that is unrealistic. Eh, i'll just try and figure it out myself!

It would be nice if collision detection could be an event like "when [object] collides with [object] do [method]"
