this may have been discussed before but here i am. How does one generate a 3D object and what do they need to do it? any help appreciated.

I suggest you look in the "share objects" section of this forum - there are several relevant postings there. Also be aware that importing objects into Alice is a fairly iffy proposition - it probably fails as often as it succeeds.
