Did you try my way of importing models into Alice? The video tutorial walks you through it step by step.

To make it even easier, you can download a plugin that lets you export .ase files from Blender here. Just unzip that folder, do a file search on your computer for a folder named "scripts," look for one that comes from the Blender Foundation folder, then put the .py file in that folder and open Blender. You can now export models from Blender as .ase files without using Biturn.

The best part is that you can alter just about anything about the model from inside Blender, including subpart structure, size, and names that could generate errors in Alice.

Also, you do know that these models need to be cut into subparts to work properly, right? The only person to do that successfully was zenteo, and he's gone.

I miss zenteo. He made good games.

I remember the good old days, like a year ago. So many good folks have left the building.

Yeah, that they have. Alice isn't really going anywhere right now and when they reach the limit of using 2.2, they get bored and move on.

It's cool that you're trying to expand those limits though, zone. Thanks.

No, no. Im sure King Gamer's tutorial splits into subparts, plus I have a way that also splits into subparts and brings textures along with them (only one level of subparts though).
Alice's limits are expanding, with the revelation of jython coding in Alice all sorts of possibilities are coming around. While python coding is fairly easy a quick scan over the Alice source code and there are already millions more possibilities for manipulating worlds by importing the source code and the various other java imports into your world.
Take my signature for example; that code when run in Alice will open up the default browser on your computer with my Alice community profile page.
Voila.
But I do miss those who have left; who's to say some of them will not come back? lets all hope for the best.

I have mostly moved on from Alice, but may still respond to messages if important [¬º-°]¬

I actually think I can make multiple level subparts, though I haven't tried it yet.

Also, I've been seriously de-motivated by the fact that nothing Alice 2.2 related seems to want to work on my laptop, including the new AND old versions available for download online. And scripting cops out for me as well, meaning even if I knew how to, I couldn't write my own scripts or even view already built scripts. Ya-hoo.
