Default Python - 07-28-2011, 11:39 AM

Hello all! I am learning Python, and I need to know what you use to write it, because the book I am reading doesn't say. Is there a compiler or something?
(This post was also made on the Programming Language Forums. If possible, please answer this thread on there instead.)

Install python.
Write script with any text editing application (I suggest Notepad++ as it has syntax highlighting).
Save with a .py extension.
Double click on file to run.

Python files do not compile.

If you would like error checking then run IDLE (the GUI that comes with python). It will check for errors.

I would have also replied on your forums, but I couldn't find the post.
