Question Collision issue - 02-01-2013, 06:21 PM

So, I'm new to Alice (using it for school). Anyways, I want to create side scrolling style game for my final project instead of make the game completely 3D.

My issue is with collision for the four sides of the screen/window. I tried placing rectangle objects at the left and right side of my window and doing some collision logic if a character moves near the rectangles. This is not working and I'm assuming it has something to do with the position of the objects in the 3D environment.

Any thoughts or advice on something like this? Maybe advice in how to position four square or rectangle objects in such a way that can simulate a "windowed" game?

Thanks

Check this out. Best ALICE collision engine yet (as far as I can tell).

I think the camera's vehicle is set to the character, but I'll double check when I get back home.
