Meh. Ask them to install sketchup for you. It's awesome, free, and educational, there's no real reason not to.

Also, if you can't get the models to work, I'll just do it.

They said to wait because we're getting a new Desktop.

Question 10-25-2010, 06:39 PM

I don't really need anything other than the Samus object. Is anyone trying to convert it into 3d?

Dubs is supposed to be, but I'm not sure if he can due to his inability to download Sketchup.

If he doesn't get it tomorrow, I can give a shot, I suppose.

YOU said I didn't have to...somewhere along the line.

I don't feel like looking for the quote.

But thanks for telling me otherwise now, doof.

Alright! I have Sketchup now! How do I export a 3d model from Sketchup to blender so that our friend Debussy or you x2495iiii can convert it? Also how is this model? I took out the shield, which had over 3000 polygons or faces. I can't seem to attach it though.

You just click File>Export>3d Model... and it should open a window that lets you choose Collada (.dae) as a file type. Choose that, then click OK and it should export the contents of the sketchup file in a format readable by blender.
