Okay, I have no specific idea for what that could have caused your problems...

Make sure that you have Framework.net 2.0 or 3.5 or something like that x]
What happened? Did your computer freeze? Did you get blue-screen? Was it your homepage that appeared in your browser or was it some other website?

Also, you said that it was the first version of the terrain builder that crashed your computer, have you tried the newest one? The TerrainBuildingPack?

I've just made the second version of Terrain Builder.
It is a combination of the terrainbuilder, terrainbuilder interface, random heightmap generator and the heightmap texturer.
The code is cleaned up and it should be more stable now.
The old version of the terrain builder(interface) extracted the terrainbuilder into a temp location and runned it every time you generated a terrain, which I was afraid of that it would not work for everyone. Therefore, I have removed this bad code and rather implemented the terrainbuilder's code into the interface.

I hope you'll like it :}

I'm currently having trouble seeing the terrain object in Alice. Whenever the camera gets some distance away (it's not too much), the object disappears but I can still see the bounding box. How to I fix this, or is this just an odd error that nobody else has?

Have you tried to increase the farClippingPlaneDistance?
It's under "Seldom Used Properties" in the properties of the camera. Try to set it to 1000 and see what happends.

I hope it helps...

This is brilliant for making terrains, the random terrain thing makes ones that arent very useful sometimes, but the rest is very helpful and you are very smart. Well done

Here it is:
The TerrainBuilder v2.1!

This version will include a 3D viewer and you will now be able to invert the randomly generated heightmap.

The creation of new terrains will be much easier with the new 3D viewing feature.

BTW, if you want a higher texturequality, just open the texturer and set the width- and the heightvalue to 512 and click Generate.
