Default a2c or a2w - 08-15-2010, 03:35 PM

Hi guys.
im kinda new to alice and had this question

Im new to alice and saw how you guys made new objects and imported them into alice, so i downloaded some and tried to import them. It dint work.
I tried a few more times to do it and wondered what could be going wrong.

then i discovered the files you guys publish are .a2w while the other objects already in Alice are .a2c . tought this might be the problem. Is my version of Alice wrong or d ihave to convert the files(in that case, how)? whats going wrong?

Here's what to do:
-Open up Alice and open the .a2w file containing the object(s).
-Right-click on the object in the world that you want.
-Click on the option that says "save object...".
-Save the object in the "gallery" folder inside the "Required" folder inside the "Alice" folder.
-Restart Alice and go to the local gallery.
Your object should be somewhere in there.

Hope this helps.

By the way, questions like this should go in the "How do I...?" forum.
