I have a tornado gif I imported to work in Alice. It looks good as long as it's facing the camera.

does it move? how do you import gif's????

Save the gif, import it into an online gif editor and split it into frames, then save each frame as a png (for a transparent background) and write a method that strings the frames together by setting the billboard's texture to each frame in order (see the FireAnimation's method for an example).
