Default Chapter 6 - 04-18-2012, 08:30 PM

I am so frustrated. I'm new to this and I'm working on Chapter 6, exercise 14 and I can't get a function or anything to work so when the navy jet passes the cylinders within a certain distance they turn green. Any help is much appreciated?

I need specification so I know what to tell you. Could you post your world in progress?

How I was able to work this program, in your method "checkSafeZone1", add objects cylinder 1 and cylinder 2. Then do a if/else state for "if the jet is within a specific distance to cyclinder 1" and "if the jet is within a specific distance to cyclinder 2", then change color to green otherwise turn to red.

This way you can call this method in your "my first method" and choose the cylinders.

Hope this helps.

Thank you. I ended up figuring out that I needed to up the distance because it was measuring from the middle of the plane to the cylinder. Thanks for your help!
