Wink How to convert from sketchup to alice - 02-05-2011, 03:05 PM

1.download or export as a collada file
2.use Blender (you can download it for free along with the plugin necessary for collada files) and import the collada and export as a .3ds
3.use another free program called 4dblue to import the .3ds and export as a .ase
4.import into alice (some assembly of the parts may be needed) and add whatever colors you want)
5.open the alice folder in your program files (or wherever it is) and go to required then gallery then make a new folder called custom models or whatever
6.save the object from alice into your custom folder

The object should now show when you go to the local gallery in the custom folder

You should follow the instructions above, it is very reasonable.
