Some object, when you do a turn to face will resize and break the model.

Pretty much what he said. Use point at or constrain to face instead.

Why does it do this, or is it a glitch. Or does it happen on certain types of computers?

I've never had that kind of problem, but certain badly imported models will often have all their faces flipped after some interaction.

I was making a tank game ages ago and this really wrecked the game by making the turret cover the whole screen suddenly, so I gave up .

I re-read the post, and yes I have! There was one time that I was trying to resize "Bob" (my favorite 3D model in Alice), and when I played the program back, Alice crashed, and I re-started it, when into the program, and Bob was really, really, really huge, and when I shrunk him down, he became flat. I still have the program, and I called it "2D bob." If anybody wants to see a screen shot, let me know. (This is the story of why Bob is my favorite model. Not only does he look funny, but the story helped too.)

This happened to me while I was turning student1. Or student2. Not quite sure.
I turned his face, and KABOOM! It got vertically over-portionate. This also sometimes happens to me in the turn-to-face animation when you delete a person.
I sure do hope this gets fixed, a fraction of the models are unusable.
