I'm not sure what the point of the example was, but with respect to the original question, the mouse tracking seems to work fine (again on a PC with Vista and Alice 2.0).

I was trying to find at what point the problem was occuring.

Other than using "say" method.

Also I noticed there is no way to cast variables. For example of type number onto type string. I'm sure I've done this in Java.
