Arrow Resident Hryule Fixed and Complete!!!! - 04-04-2012, 01:21 PM

Well I rebuilt the entire game after redownloading the newest version of Alice 2.2, I completely finished the game and tested it to the fullest extent. The only way you can have trouble playing this game is if your version of Alice is old or you are bad at video games. I will Put up a youtube video later of me playing the game to prove that it actually works. I have not encountered any glitches or lag while playing it.

There is no sound in this first version I am uploading. I want to see if any of you users have any trouble with this file before I go and use more of my time for something others can't play.

Controls
-Shoot: repeatedly press space to shoot
-Turn character: left and right arrow keys
-When Round Bonus pops up. Click on the screen to get your results.

How to use Upgrades
-Turret gun support: press "C" after purchase
-Auto fire Temp: press "V" after purchase, then press space-barr once
-Auto fire Full time: press "space-bar" after purchase
-Airstrike: press "B" after purchase
-Grenade: press "N" after purchase
-Invincibility: press "M" after purchase, one hit protection can't be purchased after buying this until it is used up.
-One Time protection/defense: just purchase, allows player to be hit by one zombie before death. watch out though. invincibility can't be purchased after buying this until it is used up.

If Attached download doesn't work right try These Download Links:

Resident Hyrule WITH SOUND

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/70727147/Res...with_sound.a2w

If the world stops after the first round is over:
Just exit out of the game, then try playing it again. It's an odd and random occuring issue, but if you make it past the first round. then you'll have no issues rest of the game.

Again, the zombies aren't turning red for me using the 12/1/2011 version.

They turn red and get hit in the 3/1/2012 version, but the game just stops after the timer for the first round runs out. I can still turn, but I can't fire and the zombies don't move.

I like the improved fire rate, but the starting screen hangs when you click continue. I'm guessing there's a duration somewhere that should be set to 0 seconds.

I love the sheer number of enemies you have coming at you. Very nice considering Alice's limitations.

I have no idea what to do then, It works perfectly fine for me. All the issues you are having are things that work for me.

Edit!!! I am using the version 3/1/2012, when I just tried playing again after reuploading I got the same issue of the world stopping after the round ended. but I just closed out of it, then played it again and it worked fine. no idea why it did that though?

It's really cool; it combines two of my favorite things. Zelda, and knockoffs of awesome games! (No, I'm not saying you plagiarizing or something.) Here's a tip, though; use what as a string inside of int A as a string. What as a string by itself gives you a bunch of .0's (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, et cetera.)

Come on, you know you want to try it.

Trust me, I know of that function, however Alice version 2.2 3/1/2012 got rid of that function for some unknown reason which is terrible, but thanks for the feedback.

That's terrible! I could fix the int A function into the displays with my alice, if you want.

Thanks for the offer, but it isn't necessary.

updates have been made, check the first post of the thread to check out the version of the game with or without sound and if you are having trouble playing the attached files, i also uploaded the games to dropbox, so try those downloads if the attached files don't work, and lastly, if nothing works for you, i made a youtube video of me playing the game so you can at least see what it looks like

I forgot to mention this before, but it would be possible to add another 4 enemies on screen with my computer without any lag (and I just have a retail HP, nothing special, so anyone should be able to run it) so I might end up doing that for an update of the game.

That was certainly uncalled for.

I thought this game was quite good, yes it had a few issues, such as "Round Bouns", but I enjoyed playing it nonetheless.
