Question Learning to Program with Alice, Huh? - 05-08-2011, 01:28 PM

So I downloaded Alice 2.2, and it said it came with a textbook. I open the textbook in the program, and it shows a hare and a bee. The hare says hello, the bee moves its wings, and then nothing happens. What am I supposed to do with this, I am absolutely confused! I'm not using Alice for a class, is the textbook made so your teacher explains what to do with each chapter? And if so, could someone explain this chapter?

I'm actually using that textbook. The programs shown there are example programs meant to go with the textbook, so they won't be much use without it.
