Default Joystick idea - 04-04-2012, 08:00 PM

Here's a very crude joystick. If the paddle is within .2 meters of the broom, the camera tilts. I'm going to use this idea to control my helicopter.

Whoa, nice! This is very cool. If you had two brooms you could control the camera via the joystick, left and right. Awesome!

I don't get it. How does it work?

When the joy stick is in a certain range of the broom, the camera tilts.
The idea is so you add more dummy objects, so when you move the joystick into one, it does something of your choice. Like having a jet tilt to the left when the joystick is .2 meters away from a dummy object to the left.

You move the transparent key with the mouse. The joystick is set to always point at the transparent key.
