Default Davario (Mario) - 01-28-2009, 05:31 AM

As our school teaches it's pupils programming by letting them mess around with Alice, my group and I thought of Mario (but different).
And here it is, Davario.

While developing this game, we ran into a lot of problems. The Collision Detection was one of them (and the main one), but with a bit of help from this forum and a lot of our creativity we managed to get it all to work.

We hope this game will inspire and help others in the same situation. A small note, the comments are in dutch but the code is readable.

All comments and feedback is welcome

Great game, though personally, i think Davario should go faster and gravity should jump and fall faster.

That tremendous amount of work and effort has been put into creating this game is obvious - great job. It is not easy to create something like this in Alice, and your use of sprites is very innovative (at least for me :]). The graphics are well-made too, and the fact that you used programs other than Alice is a good example of how Alice is not only limited to its own gallery .

I would have to agree with Ch0pstickS though, as Davario does seem to move across very slowly, and gravity is very light. Maybe it is just my computer, but I couldn't get past the first level, due to those annoying turtles :S.

Nonetheless, I applaud your team!
