1. After x said something, you exclaimed, "I have already said that twice."

2. Afterwards, I said that x had some additional input.

3. Later on, you still tried to say that your answer and x's answer were the same.

4. Now you're trying to make it so that you were talking about the two threads being the same, instead of the original topic of the posts being the same.

The whole point was that X answered the same part that I did, with a little more. Thats the whole point. Just leave it at that, and I gave the same suggestion that he did(close), but I said go to an older version and work every change, then save them....

Also, I personally don't view "go back to an older version" the same as "try using a backup," since there are older versions of Alice that could be confused as the subject of your sentence.
