Stopping an object

Hi again,
I've already designed my cat to walk forwards, backwards, right, and left. I can control the cat with the arrow keys; however, I only want the cat to walk when the key is pressed down, and went I let go of the key I want it to stop. Please, is there anything I can do about this?

I am having the same exact problem. I want to press a key and have my object stop cold. If you solved it PLEASE let me know.

You could individualy configure the controls (When down is pressed do ect, Like a walk forward 1 meter command)
