Default members going down? - 08-19-2012, 03:29 AM

I was browsing the forums and I notices that the amount of members is 2,000, 2,000?!? Last I checked there was 20,000!!! Also posters such as LanceA, drjim, and akira101 show up as guests now!!! Are the administrators deleting accounts that are inactive? Or is this a glitch? I hope to get some answers to whats going on because I don't want my account getting deleted for being inactive for a week!

Heh. If that's how it worked my account would have been gone for a long time now.

There are over 2000 thousand members, but the Alice team must be deleting old threads and account. I don't agree with it, but I guess that shows really how many active members there are.

They must have gotten rid of some of the less active members.

And I'm guessing that a week of inactivity isn't going to get you deleted.

Greetings. None of you know me, but I have to agree with X. I've been inactive for months, and I'm still here.

Sometimes they don't think it be like it is, but it do.

After a year or so I would assume they would take notice. Btw, welcome back Brennan.

Good thing they haven't deleted Chris101b yet. I wonder if people who have been auto deleted will be allowed to make another account or be put in the prevention usergroup.

It might also have to do with account activity in general. I have lots of activity all over the forums but if I was in active for a year, I don't think I would have my account deleted. The Alice team is probably aware of what accounts they are deleting.

Default Deletion of inactive members - 08-22-2012, 03:24 PM

Earlier this summer I went through the list and deleted any user who had not logged in in the previous six months... Since there had been no pruning done since the forum opened, there were a significant loss in the number of accounts.

After doing that, I have had no complaints, and also anyone "pruned" could re-register.
