Default Alice 2.2 update 6/10/09 - 06-12-2009, 03:13 PM

Alice 2.2 has been updated for both PC and Mac. The most notable change is the fixing of that annoying screen flash on the Mac. Hooray bug fixes. Thanks, Aik Min!

So do I have to download Alice 2.2 again? And when will Alice 3 be ready (not the beta version)

I just tried the mac version & the dmg will not mount (on OSX 10.5.6). No error message.

EDIT: Operator error, sorry. All is fine.

The new mac 2.2 version of Alice consumes 60-90% of my CPU (both cores, in fact), from the moment it is started. Without any project set up or running.

Somehow I don't think that is right

Anyone else verify this behavior?

Sophie,

Do you know if previous versions of 2.2/2.0 exhibited this behavior or is this a new issue?

I think it's a new issue. I cannot be 100% sure since the previous screen-flash kept me from any extended use, but I don't recall the machine slowing down.

Hth.

Curiously, Alice 2.2 on Mac really does not being "hidden" (as in Menu: Alice / Hide Alice). When hidden it goes above 90% CPU, when idle it varies in the 50-90% CPU range.
