Alice Word Beta 08

Welcome to the new revolution of word processing! Alice Word Beta 08 allows you to write and copy stuff to the clip board! Your document is automatically shown to you on the main screen, and pressing enter will make a text copy shown on the bottom of the screen. Highlight this and copy it by pressing Ctrl-C. The official Alice Word 08 should be out by December.

Quite a ways to go to compete with Office , but a nice piece of programming using Alice.

I wonder how you managed to suppress the "the value of ..." lead in the print window? Copying your statement gave a result the same as yours but dragging and dropping from the main menu - for the same string - gave a result that included the lead.

I found out that when I dragged "print" into an event, It allowed me to say "print string". I then used it in the event. I was surprised too.

About that "long way to go", I've narrowed he gap with alice word 2008 final version. It uses loops to compile lists and there's no limit to how many characters you can have. I've also added the backspace feature after trouble with the "remove item from end of list" function. You can download it below:
