I thought king's video tutorial covered how to convert sketchup objects.

They did but all of my objects are invisible! any tips?

I went ahead and made my own quick tutorial that shows exactly what I do when I import models. Read the description for the step-by-step process. There's no audio and the quality could definitely be better, but if you need an alternative method, this is the one.

GoGators you didn't follow the second part of my advice. You need to use front face. It is another plugin. You just need to make all the faces outward, because alice only shows one side of each face.
P.S. It is much simplier to do all the work inside of sketchup.

Simpler, but less effective. That's why I do it that way. Higher success rate.

Have you tried cutting objects into functional subparts using Sketchup though?

Ok, I don't know why people cant seem to understand my tutorial. I will admit that my way does have a fail rate a shown in the weird uv problem with the model in my video.

I understood your method just fine, and was actually going to try it for a project that Biturn doesn't seem to be cutting it for.

Again, have you tried cutting objects into functional subparts using Sketchup?
