Good time to post. I am a former active community member, I learned a lot of my basic programming knowledge from Alice. It was a great way to easily program without worrying about syntax and a bunch of other things, but of course, it had its limits. I was ready to move on after about two years of Alice programming; by that time I had built a few games and even animated a bit in Alice. My interests have led me more to web development (backend and frontend). I've become a freelancer designer, I got a job building a management system for a small engineering firm, and am currently am working on an education startup with big potential.

What I'm trying to say is Alice is a great program to learn programming, the community has tons of support, but there's even more opportunity outside of Alice.

I'm a web developer/ designer now.
