Hello everyone!

As some of you may have noticed, my alice community activity has plummeted. The reason for that being is this: http://uperduper.com/

I have been constructing my own website. Perhaps it will be ready by next year, but no dates are final.

And if anyone has feedback, feel free to give me a comment(s). The contact button does not work yet sadly.:(

Cool beans. Looks like a Lockerz of sorts, but with a gaming element. Very nice.

dubastot 09-12-2010 10:01 AM

You could say I was inpsired by Lockerz. Although there will be other features later on.

Oh and if anyone is wondering, most of the games are n the strategy section. I am still working on the games list.

I really was hoping for more input.

Anyways, if anyone knows any web developers too, can you refer me to them. Thanks!

x2495iiii 09-22-2010 10:27 PM

I'm no web developer, but I know HTML stuff.

I suppose I might know a few guys, though they're the professional kind. Do you have money to hire guys like that?

dubastot 09-23-2010 06:49 PM

I am willing to spend up to $400.

x2495iiii 09-24-2010 04:08 AM

I'll ask around and see what's standard fare since I got no clue.

dubastot 09-25-2010 11:11 PM

Thanks a bunch X. I really appreciate the help!

Oh hey, I asked the guy and he said that a full-on website complete with customized programming runs into the thousands of dollars. If you can do the programming yourself, though, and just need a designer to spiff up your site and make it more appealing to the public, then the cost would depend on the scale of work you wanted, but it would be much less.

dubastot 10-02-2010 06:39 PM

Well, I just don't know how to do the real technical stuff like making the account database, contact form and the redeem system. I will design the layout and all the icons/ images for the website though. Thanks X!

Has anyone else visited the website? I would really like some comments on it.

debussybunny563 10-19-2010 02:27 PM

It was nice, but it took too long to load for the first time I visited it.
Of course, I have Chrome, so now it takes 1 or 2 seconds. That's what's great about Chrome; once you visit a site, it'll be super quick to load from then on.

I like the effect when you hover over any of the buttons, but the drop-down menu for "Play Games" could be better (uneven).
There also seems to be a gray rectangle under the Play Games button.

Overall, simplistic, easy-to-use design.

dubastot 10-24-2010 10:05 AM

The gray rectangle under the Play Games button is part of the menu bar, I still have to work on it.

The slow loading of the page may be caused by the quality of all my images; if you zoom in, they won't become pixelated.
