Ugh
I'm so bored.
Entertain me, dangit! |
Why don't you do something Alice related?
PS: Sorry for being a boring person. |
I'd love to.
But, I have SQL work that's been postponed for far too long, and I'm forced to do that now. Boohoo. |
Great! I was wondering about SQL. I need to know more about it for my website, could you explain it to me?
|
Certainly.
*Ahem* SQL is boring and terrible. Any questions? |
WOW:eek:! Those few words were absolutely mind 'blowingly' powerful! I definitely get it now!
*cough* *cough* |
Go and play something, go out for a walk, hand out with friends, what else?
I get on steam (online gaming company from the makers of valve.) and play HL2 Mods, CSS, L4D, and Gmod all the time, thats my way of killing time :P Plus the occasional times going out with a couple friends. |
bake a pie XD
|
What kind of SQL work are you doing? My chat program runs on SQL! It will be out when it's fixed.

I love baking pies (actually). I am one of the few male high school students who likes to bake!:) |
Nevermind the SQL, I don't need that anymore.

*cough* *cough*
Yeah, I was in a bad mood because of SQL, so asking me about it then wasn't a good idea.
bake a pie XD
Not much of a cook, though I do enjoy it.
What kind of SQL work are you doing? My chat program runs on SQL! Lol, damn it must suck having to use a not so good computer.

That it does. Though it is good enough to handle old but still awesome games like the SNES and N64 classics, Metal Gear Solid 1, Halo 1, Half Life 1, and a bunch of other stuff. |

Sorry for always being on the negative side of things but... I hate laptops. they are a waist of money to me (Especially Netbooks, uhh...), My dad built a new desktop recently and it has a quad core processor and a really kick-but graphics card and stuff for under 600 dollars. good luck finding a laptop that good for even twice that price. I got his old computer and it has a duo core processor and can still play all the games like Fallout and call of duty and stuff. |
I agree that common laptops aren't meant for gaming, but they are definitely NOT a "waist" of money. They have their purpose like everything else.
Also, Alienware makes excellent gaming laptops for $900. In terms of price, not too much more than your desktop. |
Well it was my opinion and your entitled to yours.
|
The Alienware thing is a fact, though, not an opinion.
I do find laptops' general lack of ability to upgrade annoying, though. My graphics card is terrible, and there's nothing I can do about it but buy a better laptop. |

I got an Asus gaming laptop, not bad, it was worth $2000 but it can run Crysis, if you know is a game with high requirements, but being able to play Half Life 1 is a good game. Really fun, especially the mods that are for it. But i too dont like laptops for gaming that much, mainly just for my studies on the go and the occasional games when i dont got a desktop with me.
|
Touchpads and FPS games don't mix well, but I take what I can get.
Both my desktops were broken by my sister. Wheeee. Yet another reason to own your own laptop, though. Taking it with you means it's not at home getting messed with by people who break stuff easily. Also, what mods are you talking about, specifically? I was thinking about playing it again, and something to add to the experience would be nice. |
True, touchpads and FPS dont mix, but thats why you attatch a mouse to it :P but there are several mods for half life 1 & 2, like for number 1, there Zombie Panic and Natural Selection. Natural Selection has got to be the best mod that is muiltiplayer for Half Life of all time (depending on you taste in games, but still good.) I havn't played any of these in a long time, due to me getting HL2 so... but still worth a try for you to give it a shot, really fun. They are all based on the HL1 engine so if you comp can run HL1, it can run these.
|
Like I said, I take what I can get, and I can't get a clear, flat workspace to put a mouse on, since every table-like object is a place to put random junk in my house.
Thanks for the recommendations. I'll definitely look into that, probably a few minutes from now, in fact. |
