So Its my first attempt at converting 3DS Max files into Alice. Im very excited. :)

How do you convert 3DS Max files into Alice in the first place? Also, is it free to download 3DS Max because every time I try, it says to try it for a 30 day free trial?

Converting 3ds Models into a format compatible with Alice
Import the 3ds compatible object into AutoDesk 3DS Max. Export the project to .ase format. [This is an ASCII based format] Alice is compatible with this file extension. You can import it into Alice by going to File, Import..., and select the .ase file to import. Every once in awhile you will get an error and may not be able to do it as easily as described, but most of the time this works.
