How to set new Axis' for custom objects

So I finally got my custom image colored and what not, but I have now a new problem. My object has these strange axis. How can I fix that? And for good measure, how do I save it as a custom object?

Is the entire object made up of subparts? In other words, if you deleted the subparts, would there be anything left? If no, then I may be able to solve it (I've done it before several times).

It is a robot, that has sub-parts.

Then the robot has to have subparts for all visible things. If you delete all the subparts, there should be nothing visible left.

However, since it's a robot with arms/legs, the pivots for those would probably be messed up too, and I doubt I can do anything about that.

Unless you aren't going to have the robot's arms and legs move, I probably can't help with that. Sorry. :o
