lost on chapter 2

Hi, I'm a little bit confused on chapter 2. I've read the chapter, but for exercise 7. Playing Ball, I'm not sure how to get the 10 meters between them. I did do the methods that are stated in the section Positioning Objects a Specified Distance Apart. But when I look over at Tutorial 2-5 they don't show the methods it just begins with the say methods. I would like to know if I'm missing something or was I suppose to show the methods that make the two objects 10 meters apart and then begin the methods that would show one of them kicking the ball? Thank you for any input.
